Equipping Swahili-Speaking Leaders Through Biblical Training

Dear Friends and Partners,

My name is Ndulu Sabuni, and since August 2022 I have served with Missions Door as a Field Minister in Denver, Colorado. God has called me to use my language skills to translate theological leadership and training materials from English into Swahili, equipping pastors and church leaders who lack access to formal theological education.

This work includes translating and voicing student notes, discussion guides, and lecture PowerPoints for a complete two-year Bible and Theology training track. I also currently lead two online Swahili cohorts with CB Matrix. As the translation progresses, these materials are already being introduced to Swahili-speaking communities in the United States, with plans—together with CB Matrix leadership—to establish teaching cohorts in Africa.

I am encouraged to share that the Swahili discussion materials completed so far are now being used by theology students in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as by a newly formed cohort here in Denver. These groups meet weekly to study Scripture, pray together, and deepen their understanding of God’s Word. This training is designed to strengthen spiritual growth and improve biblical understanding and retention for students both in Africa and within the U.S. diaspora.

Thousands of Swahili-speaking churches gather weekly without access to sound theological training. We believe God is calling us to help meet this need by equipping leaders with solid biblical foundations that strengthen the Church for generations to come.
