Middle East Community Center
The Middle East community center hosts adult English classes, clubs for refugee kids, programs for mothers, and much more in a Muslim nation. Local believers and missionaries serve alongside each other, building relationships through which they share the gospel and work towards planting house churches.
The center café provides a place for everyone to gather for conversation and special events. Coffee and snacks are available during English class breaks, allowing teachers and students to mingle and build relationships. Workshops for refugee mothers are held in the space, and special events for refugee kids, families, and adult English students add to the community that's being built. The center has grown rapidly in recent years, and the café's frequent use required new tile and electrical upgrades. Now, we're working to remodel the space - reconfiguring the serving counter and prep area to make the entry into the cafe more open and welcoming to all. New furniture is needed to replace bulky, outdoor furniture that has been in use for years with modular seating that can be easily rearranged to accommodate different functions. Your gifts will transform the space into a warm, inviting community for all for years to come!$0
