Heart Liverpool Cafe/Church

Nestled in one of the busiest areas of our city, a few blocks away from our largest shopping area, in the midst of bars and surrounded by the apartments of thousands of university students (they make up over 15% of this city) is a space that we will use to host a charity cafe, build community and start Heart Liverpool Church. We want to live out our faith through daily interactions with people that don't know Jesus yet.

Through the cafe, we hope to positively impact our city by giving our profits to help meet the financial needs of this city, offer community events such as painting classes and dinners, employ special needs adults, offer free meals to uni students, help moms and their children with resources, support local community centers that help the poorest in our city and provide what we hope is a home away from home for those in need of a family.

Liverpool's struggles are not very well hidden. Like most larger cities, this one has its share of homelessness, alcohol and drug abuse and crime. The city also has a high level of deprivation with 3 out of 10 teenagers under 16 living in poverty. Many children spend their lives in foster care and some find no permanent placement. However, with less than 5% of this country attending church services, the greatest need this city has is a spiritual one.

We want to daily live out our faith and look at our roles in the cafe as that of evangelist baristas. Every day is another opportunity to meet people and have a conversation about faith and about Jesus.

Heart Liverpool is positioned in a prime location to meet the needs of this city. We want to make a serious impact. There are a million reasons to love this city.

2. You will help us begin the work on the upstairs so that we can offer children's ministries and an event space for community activities.

3. You will help us plant the first church of what we hope will be others.

Heart Liverpool Church started recently. We want to continue to grow but we have some financial needs that we have to meet.
