November 15 to 22

Warm up

Starting November 15, you start talking to people. You are letting your closest contacts know that something is coming on Giving Tuesday, that there will be matching funds, what you hope to raise, and asking whether they would be willing to give.

You are building your first circle, so that when Giving Tuesday opens you already have momentum. Step 2 notes that getting your first three donors in the first 48 hours greatly increases the likelihood of reaching your goal. .

Ask for three things

Ask each person to put December 1 on their calendar, to pray for you, and to be ready to give when the match opens. Keep going until November 22: your emails and weekly updates continue until launch.

November 23 to 30

Review

Go through the whole preparation list again, one STEP at a time. Look at your lists, your emails, your images, and your posts, and fix whatever has changed since October.

Plan around Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26, so aim to finish this review by Wednesday, November 25.

Send the week of November 23 to your email list.
